Portugal is a beautiful and hospitable country. I have been there a couple of times including the Azores and Madeira. Algarve, the southern part of Portugal, is very often visited by tourists. This time the fabulous coastline was the destination. I landed in Faro and took a bus to Lagos after staying overnight. March is already warm but still not too many tourists. I was there 11 years ago, but it was not enough time to see more. Rock's formations around Lagos are unusual and impressive. You may walk and admire big and high cliffs, or smaller rocks locate don the sea. Sometimes between rocks, we may find small and cosy beaches.
I visited two towns: Faro, Lagos. These towns possess beautiful historical centres. Walking there, you may feel a positive atmosphere. In restaurants, I could eat delicious vegetarian dishes very often based on fish and seafood. The weather let to be outside all day and walk along the endless coastline. It is necessary to mention the Cape St. Vincent. It is the southwesternmost point of Portugal and mainland Europe. Huge, massive and high cliffs emphasize the uniqueness of this place. It is still mainland, but I could feel its remoteness.
