"The 80/10/10 diet" - Dr Douglas N.Graham

I have read a lot of books in my life. However not too many had such a huge immediate impact on my life. I may say I revolutionised my eating last and this year. It already happened before I found this book.  All made changes let me eat healthier food and obtain more awareness of what is going on with my nutrition. This book helped me to make another quantum lip on my dietary path. It made me aware of the proper proportion of carbohydrates, fats and proteins in an everyday menu.
I have already eaten a lot of fruits and vegetables but the number of fats and proteins was exceeded a couple of times in my menu. The author is an ex-athlete and 40 years of the raw eater. His book brings lots of proofs that originally human diet was completely different and based on fruits. 80% of eaten calories is supposed to derive from carbohydrates, 10% from fats and 10% from proteins. We are supposed to eat only raw fruits and vegetables. When I counted my eaten fats and proteins I immediately started to retreat them from my diet. All information and suggestions are in harmony with my intuition. What is interesting the diet or rather the way of nutrition is considered as a lifestyle. I recommend this book to everybody with an open mind who is interested in how to improve a menu and leave a healthier life. The author is reliable when he explains why we are supposed not to eat cooked food, why overdosing permanently on fats and proteins cause many diseases or why even successful athletes can eat only fruits and vegetable. Of course, all is out of the mainstream media and common stereotypes about nutrition.
